Shared Services Week in Amsterdam
[8.5.2006 | Amsterdam] Over 500 Shared Services professionals from all over Europe flocked to Amsterdam in May 8-11, where the 6th annual Shared Services Week 2006 took place. With 5 streams (Advanced Global Best Practice, Human Resources, Finance, Implementation, Technology: Client showcases) and over 50 speakers and many exhibitors among them CzechInvest the Investment and Business Development Agency, the conference showed best practice strategies of shared services sector.
Over 50 leading Shared Services organizations competed for 3rd Shared Services Excellence Awards in five categories: Best Mature Shared Services Organizations (winner Procter & Gamble), Best New Shared Services Organization (Surrey County Councils), The most advanced Automation of a Shared Services Organization (Reuters), Shared Services leader of the Year (Tetrapak) and Shared services Employer of the Year (Diageo).
It is a great success that next year will see the 7th annual Shared Services Week 2007 move to Prague. The Czech republic is a rising star in the region due to its attractive location, competitive infrastructure, lower costs, stable business environment and particularly strong education system.
