    A unique new database containing data on more than 500 Czech suppliers to the automobile industry is now available on the internet. The companies entered in the database supply such global brands as VW, Daimler-Chrysler, Toyota, BMW, Ford, Volvo, Porsche and Audi.

  • Glaverbel investing nearly CZK 3 billion in expansion of production

    Glaverbel Czech a.s., which is the largest producer of flat glass and its applications in Central and Eastern Europe, is preparing an extensive expansion of production valued at nearly 100 million euros at its plant in Teplice (North Bohemia). At least 70 new jobs will be created in coming years.

  • Solar modules to be produced in Olomouc; 25 new jobs to be created

    Today marks the official start of production at the O&M Solar plant in Olomouc. The company, which is engaged in the assembly of solar modules, will invest 1,4 million Euro here and employ 25 people. In the course of the following few years, production capacity is expected to as much as triple.

  • Investors discover the huge investment potential of the Moravia-Silesia region

    The Moravia-Silesia region of the Czech Republic expects rapid development in the near future. The area boasts a modern technology background, industrial tradition and qualified workforce. It is not a coincidence that the carmaker Hyundai chose the region for its record investment. In coming years, Hyundai will invest between 800 million and 1 billion euros here and will create 3,000 jobs. The company should bring with it other Korean investors, such as its main suppliers.

    HEADLINE NEWS Honeywell to open Global Aviation Centre in Prague The American firm Honeywell will open a Global Aviation Centre for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in Prague. The facility is to create 500 jobs within the first year. The centre will be located in the Czech Republic due to the high quality and low cost of labour and also due to the strategic location of Prague within the EMEA region. The company already employs 2,000 people in manufacturing facilities in Moravia. In future, all non-manufacturing activities will be transferred to the Prague centre with the exception of the R&D center operating in Brno.
