Fast Track Project

Accelerated procedure of internal transfer and localised employees and statutory bodies of foreign investors

The Ministry of Industry and Trade prepared the Fast Track Project in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project is the result of an agreement between the aforementioned ministries and is one of the measures arising from the government-approved Strategy for International Competitiveness of the Czech Republic.

Inclusion of a firm in the Fast Track Project, including administration of the application, is carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. When necessary, CzechInvest issues recommendations for inclusion.

The anticipated benefit is acceleration and improvement of the migration process of statutory bodies, managers and key specialists from third countries assigned to branches located in the Czech Republic. The project is intended exclusively for established foreign investors that have been operating in the Czech Republic for at least two years. In the event that a Czech company fulfils the prescribed conditions, a foreign employee of such company can receive a residence permit (long-term visa, employee card, blue card, intra-company employee transfer card) within the accelerated process.

The project was approved by the Coordination Body for the Protection of the National Borders of the Czech Republic on 19 October 2017 and was officially launched on 1 November 2017.
