Yankee Candle opens its first European production plant in Most

Yankee Candle opened its first foreign production facility on Tuesday, 6 December 2016. The American company chose the Czech city of Most to serve the European market. The new factory will bring the creation of more than 300 jobs, primarily in the areas of production and operational support. Most was selected due to its tradition in the manufacturing industry, suitable infrastructure and location in the middle of Europe, as well as support from the Czech government and regional authorities. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Karel Kučera, CEO of CzechInvest, which arranged Yankee Candle’s investment in the Czech Republic.

Yankee Candle is a leading global producer of premium candles. Today the company offers the indisputably largest selection of fragrant household products in more than 50 countries. The company plans to annually manufacture these products worth up to 190 million on ten production lines at the new factory.
