World Bank: CzechInvest Has One of the Best Websites Among Investment Agencies
13 Jul. 2012 | CzechInvest | The survey assessed investment agencies and their approach to investors.
According to the latest Report on Global Investment Promotion Best Practices (GIPB 2012), CzechInvest placed second among the Top Ten World Websites. CzechInvest’s website was surpassed only by that of the Austrian investment agency ABA-Invest. Austrade of Australia placed third. The World Bank recently presented the results of the survey in Washington.
“The website is one of the most important tools for addressing the target group and the general public, and we therefore dedicate enhanced care to it,” says Miroslav Křížek, CEO of CzechInvest, who further adds that the agency’s success in the World Bank’s ranking is a reward for the work of the many people who took part in compiling the website’s content.
The GIPB 2012 report points out that investment agencies provide relevant and important information on their websites, though some lag behind in the ability to professionally and rapidly respond to specific enquires and demands of investors. There are 189 investment agencies in the word, of which, according to the report, nearly 80% are unable to quickly provide potential investors with precise, high-quality information or to offer comprehensive services required by investors.
“At CzechInvest we strive to approach all clients in a maximally helpful manner and to fulfil all of their requirements in the shortest possible time. However, the truth is that we sometimes encounter various limitations and administrative problems, though we work intensively to eliminate any such obstacles and to assist and advise clients as quickly as possible and provide them with the information they need,” adds Miroslav Křížek, CEO of CzechInvest.
For the first time in its history, the World Bank awarded the highest ranking in the area of the approach to foreign direct investment (FDI) to an investment and development agency from the developing world, PRONicaragua. According to the GIPB report, PRONicaragua provides the best standard practices in the area of attracting FDI, both online and in personal contact with investors.
The publication with an analysis of cooperation between national investment agencies and potential foreign investors is issued once every three years. More information is available at www.globalinvestmentpromotion.com.
