Investment Week: TI Automotive AC of Jablonec holds open-house event

TI Automotive AC s.r.o. in Jablonec nad Nisou recently held an open-house event at its factory in connection with Investment Week. The attendees mainly comprised 35 first- and second-year students in the fields of electrical engineering and automotive maintenance from the Secondary Industrial School of Technology in Jablonec nad Nisou.

TI Automotive AC s.r.o. is a direct supplier of major carmakers, especially those based in Europe. The company manufactures components for the automotive industry, particularly air-conditioning units. With approximately six hundred workers, it is one of the biggest employers in Jablonec nad Nisou.

The students were given a view of the company’s production operation, from processing, cutting and surface treatment of input materials, through soldering, washing and bending, to rigidity testing and final completion and assembly of components. Noise standards and the matter of occupational safety were also discussed.

The young visitors asked about, for example, entry-level pay and the possibility of part-time employment. Representatives of the company emphasised education and the willingness to learn even after starting employment.
