The eighth Czech-Germany economic conference held in Düsseldorf

Czech and German firms presented the development of their business projects at the eighth Wirtschaftsstammtisch Tschechien conference. The event, which took place in Düsseldorf on Wednesday, 20 April 2016, was attended by fifty representatives of firms from the Czech Republic and Germany. 

The start-up scene in North Rhine-Westphalia was presented by Till Ohrmann, ambassador of the Digitale Wirtschaft NRW initiative, who pointed out the importance of involving new start-ups in the process of digitalising the economy. The development of Czech start-ups was presented by George Geveke, a representative of the Czech-German Chamber of Trade and Industry. Representatives of the Czech start-up FineGusto, which is focused on production of dried meat, shared their experience with penetrating foreign markets with the conference participants. 

The event was held under the auspices of the Consulate of the Czech Republic in Düsseldorf, NRW Invest – Economic Development Agency of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the Chamber of Industry and Trade of North Rhine-Westphalia. CzechInvest was a partner of the conference and provided consultations on business support in the Czech Republic during the networking portion of the event.
