Supplier of the Year – Technological Benefit of the Year

23 Jun. 2009 | CzechInvest, AFI | The prize for Technological Benefit of the Year was awarded to Strojcar, which with CzechInvest’s assistance received in 2008 an order to produce sections for Airbus A380 wing flaps. “Production for an aircraft manufacturer is very demanding,” says Stanislav Hoffmann, executive director of Strojcar. “They selected us because we demonstrated the highest level of quality.”

The family-owned Strojcar focuses on precision machining of the most complex materials. The company is cooperating with CzechInvest on several projects. “CzechInvest has already provided us with contacts to foreign customers several times and some of them have led to successful conclusions. This order is the biggest and most important,” says Hoffmann.

Besides new orders, through CzechInvest Strojcar has also obtained aid from the European Union for the purchase of new CNC machines. Part of the company is a training centre, which is also financed with European funding. “We train mainly clients for labour offices and employees of firms that need enhanced skills, primarily in the fields of programming and operating CNC centres, CAD/CAM programming and measuring on 3D measuring instruments. The fact that we operate our own training centre makes a very favourable impression on our potential customers,” Hoffmann concludes.
