Supplier of the Year – Contract of the Year

23 Jun. 2009 | CzechInvest, AFI | The Contract of the Year award was presented to Imopra of Nivnice, near Uherský Brod. The firm is dedicated primarily to precision machining of metals, particularly duralumin alloys. With CzechInvest’s assistance, last year Imopra concluded a major contract for production of alloy parts for automotive air-conditioners.

“This contract is important for us primarily because of its long duration,” explains Josef Moštěk, director of IMOPRA. “This means relative certainty of orders for several years in advance, which means job security for our employees. Also, in this particular case we will recruit additional employees.”

“Like perhaps most firms, we must also deal with the economic downturn,” says Dalibor Moštěk, executive director of IMOPRA. “We decidedly did not want to lay off employees, because that would be short-sighted and because we assumed that we would need them, which later turned out to be true.”

“I believe that we offer advantages that the competition doesn’t have,” adds Dalibor Moštěk. “Mainly this means speed of delivery, thanks thanks mainly to our patented parts-clamping system that we use in production.”
