Solar Turbines opens new repair facility

2 Jul. 2012 | CzechInvest | Solar Turbines, a company focused on manufacturing turbines, has opened a high-tech repair centre in the Triangle industrial zone.

The celebratory opening of the centre was attended by Jim Umpleby, president of Solar Turbines, governor Jana Vaňhová, and Miroslav Křížek, CEO of CzechInvest.

The repair centre will serve for repairing turbines from Europe and Africa. The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is the company’s only such facility in Europe. More than 70 people are currently employed there, though the company plans to eventually employ approximately 500 workers.
