Representatives of Czech nanotechnology firms meet in London

The Czech Nano Days event was held in Great Britain in the third week of June. This joint event of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London and CzechInvest began on Monday, 12 June 2017. Ambassador Libor Sečka hosted a seminar on the Czech nanotechnology industry at his residence. Czech companies and institutions including the Association of the Nanotechnology Industry, Contipro, Nanoprogress, nanoSPACE, Nanovia, Pardam, Charles University, the TUL Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation presented their products and services.
On Tuesday, the Czech representatives visited Imperial College and the London Centre for Nanotechnology, where they toured four laboratories and discussed the possibility of collaboration. On the following days, the representatives of Czech firms and institutions visited the University of Cambridge, where they were familiarised with the possibilities of doctoral studies in the area of nanotechnology and the university’s approach to commercialisation of research results and new technologies.
