Rating of foreign companies

Within some OPEI programmes, it is possible to submit the parent company’s history on behalf of the applicant (more information is available in the Instructions for Aid Applicants and Recipients for individual programmes).

In the case that this involves a foreign company, the applicant shall submit the economic history of the foreign parent company using a rating from a rating agency accepted by the Czech National Bank (see Table – List of credit-rating agencies). In the terms of the EU/Czech legislation in force, rating agencies are set forth as the sole entities that can be accepted in the case of evaluations of foreign applicants.

Another mandatory annex comprises the auditor’s report (if such exists) and the scanned balance sheet and income statement for the last two closed accounting periods.

In the case that the applicant does not have a rating evaluation from any of the stipulated rating agencies, the applicant can be analysed and evaluated by a duly selected contractual partner of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This service is provided by the Czech Credit Bureau and, in the case of foreign companies, the costs of processing such an analysis are billed to the applicant.
