Prosperity - Call I.
Supported activities include the establishment and further development of science and technology parks, business incubators, and technology transfer centres, as well as creation of a network of business angels which encourage the establishment and development of innovative firms.
- Science and technology parks – entities that provide the necessary space and services to companies with a longer history of conducting business. The presence of advanced companies within such a park supports the emergence of the less “experienced” into the world of business.
- Business incubators – these create the basis for establishing start-up firms with good ideas. These new firms can gain grants from the operator of the incubator for rental of office, laboratory and other spaces and additional grants for consulting services, training and retraining. Another advantage of placing a firm in an incubator is provided by the joint shared space and laboratories which improve mutual collaboration and communication with other firms.
- Technology transfer centres – in cooperation with research institutes and universities, these centres assist the transfer of new and hitherto unused technologies to firms. They also provide specialised consulting and consulting in the area of protection of intellectual and industrial property.
- Business angels networks – these are an instrument for providing capital to entrepreneurs in the initial phase of business, which is associated with a higher level of risk, thereby expanding the possibilities of financing their entrepreneurial ideas. The basic activity of such networks is thus bringing together investors (i.e. business angels) and companies with interesting business plans.
