NetSuite Czech Republic named Investor of the Year 2010

The Brno branch of NetSuite is engaged in research and development of software on the highest level with the aim of innovating and improving its products. In Brno the company is set to establish one of NetSuite’s most important centres in the world. The centre will employ up to 130 people, particularly software-development and quality-assurance specialists.

IBM Global Services Delivery Center Czech Republic was awarded second place for its project which includes expansion of its business support services centre and provision of IT outsourcing services. The IBM Delivery Center in Brno is one of the biggest and most diverse centres of its kind in the world. The centre relies on the abilities and talents of specialists from around the world and provides services in nearly twenty languages.

The third-place winner in the IT and Business Support Services category is FNZ (Czechia) s.r.o., which offers its clients a unique, broadly variable management system focused on the needs of financial institutions. This specifically involves software for management of both individual and corporate assets. The company’s new centre in Brno will primarily develop applications and individual modules with the purpose of qualitative improvement of the so-called Standard Life Platform.

Investor of the Year is a competition organised annually by CzechInvest and the Association for Foreign Investment in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. This year marked the eleventh anniversary of the event. The main partners of this year’s Investor of the Year competition are ČEZ and ČSOB, while the partner is the Office Islands project of HOCHTIEF Development Czech Republic. Supporting partners are the QUIX agency and Zátiší Catering. Media support for the competition was provided by the weekly Euro, Czech Radio 1 – Radio Journal, Stavitel (Builder) and Project & Property magazines, and the monthlies Parlament – Vláda – Samospráva (Parliament – Government – Local Administration) and Development News.

The competing investment projects are evaluated by a committee composed of representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Association for Foreign Investment and CzechInvest. The celebratory announcement of the winners took place – together with the announcement of the results of the Business Property of the Year 2010 competition – on Tuesday, 1 November 2011, at the Eco-Technical Museum in Prague.
