More Chinese considering investment in the Czech Republic

In the last ten days of April, representatives of CzechInvest visited the Chinese provinces of Guangdong, Zhejiang and Jiangsu and the city of Shanghai.

The delegation met with approximately twenty firms in the area of light manufacturing that are considering expanding their business activities to Europe. During the meetings, CzechInvest’s representatives presented the Czech Republic as an ideal place to start European operations, especially thanks to the country’s skilled workforce, industrial tradition and strategic location. Most of the firms found the Czech investment environment attractive and several of them are even planning to visit the Czech Republic in the coming months.

The selected firms included high-tech companies operating in the automotive industry, in which the Czech Republic has a long tradition and extensive know-how, as well as firms in the areas of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and clean tech.
