Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mládek opens the CES Unveiled Prague conference

A conference featuring top representatives of the American Consumer Technology Association was held in Prague on Thursday, 20 October 2016. The first edition of the CES Unveiled Prague conference was opened by Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mládek. The event, which was focused on support for technology firms and start-ups, was attended by 170 people from 15 countries.
More than ten technology firms and start-ups, such as BigClown Labs, ESET Software, Logitech, Nanotrik.cz, Notia, Prusa Research, Sindiko, Six Guys Labs, XTND and Zoner Software, presented themselves at the event. Products presented at CES Unveiled Prague included the Turris Omnia secure router from the company CZ.NIC and a comprehensive version of the ESET Smart Security Premium home internet security solution. Arkadin, a start-up that developed a smart collar and bowl for dogs, was among the exhibitors. The first edition of the event culminated with a reception at the residence of the American ambassador in Prague, Andrew H. Shapiro.
The participation of a quartet of Czech start-ups at CES Unveiled Prague was co-financed by CzechInvest with funding from the CzechDemo programme, which is aimed at supporting international promotion of Czech technology firms. CzechInvest was also a partner of the conference, which was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
