Investment Week: KNORR-BREMSE hosts open house for engineering students

KNORR-BREMSE, a manufacturer of commercial vehicles, hosted an open house for students from the Secondary School of Building and Transportation Engineering in Liberec on Wednesday, 18 June 2014. A total of 27 students in the field of transport operations and economics learned basic information about the company and were familiarised with the processes in individual workplaces. KNORR-BREMSE Systémy pro užitková vozidla ČR, s.r.o. is currently a leading global manufacturer of brake systems for rail and commercial vehicles.
“Among other things, the excursion enhanced the ongoing cooperation between the school and this significant employer in the Liberec region,” says Tereza Suchomelová, director of CzechInvest’s Liberec office. During the open house, the company offered the students the possibility of internships upon completing their studies. Several students have already expressed interest in working for the company.
