Jakub Mikulasek named CzechInvest’s new Chief Operating Officer
20 Apr. 2006 | CzechInvest | The Investment and Business Development Agency CzechInvest has a new chief operating officer, Jakub Mikulasek, who had until recently been the director of the agency’s office in Paris. Mr. Mikulasek replaces Karolina Bockova, who is stepping down from the position due to family reasons.
“The task of the new chief operating officer will be to build on the accomplishments of his predecessor and coordinate individual activities of the agency so that they complement and support each other,’ says CzechInvest CEO Tomas Hruda, commenting on the change.
Jakub Mikulasek (30) joined the agency in 2002 as a graduate of the University
of Economics in Prague and CEMS Master. He began work at CzechInvest
in the position of project manager in the area of multinational centres of services
and new technologies. From 2004, he managed CzechInvest’s Paris office. Mr. Mikulasek speaks English, Spanish and French in addition to his native Czech.
“CzechInvest has undergone a major change in recent years. From an agency focused on attracting foreign investment, it has become the place to which small and medium-sized enterprises come for grants from EU Structural Funds. In addition to this, we provide to companies a range of other services including procurement of subcontractors for multinational companies, a database of industrial real estate and consultancy services. To coordinate all of these activities so that we can provide our clients with flexible and professional service is an undeniable challenge,” says the newly named Chief Operating Officer of CzechInvest, Jakub Mikulasek.
