Investment Week: Secondary-school students visit Red Hat in Brno
23 Jun. 2014 | CzechInvest | Students from EDUCAnet, a private secondary vocational school and high school, visited Red Hat on Tuesday, 17 June 2014.
The students had a unique opportunity to tour the facilities of one of the most significant companies in the South Moravia region. They were accompanied by a Red Hat representative, Rasovan Musil, and a representative of CzechInvest’s Brno office, which organised the excursion in connection with Investment Week. Red Hat is an international company involved in distribution of the Linux operating system and software for cloud computing. The company has been operating in the Czech Republic since 2004; its Brno branch focuses on software development and testing. At the end of 2012 Red Hat had 500 employees in Brno, making the local branch the company’s biggest global centre after the company’s headquarters.
