Investment Week: Experts debate the creative industry’s economic potential in Brno

The workshop was organised by the regional office of CzechInvest in cooperation with the Brno Municipal Authority, the Region of South Moravia and the South Moravian Innovation Centre. Guests discussing the topic “The Creative Industry’s Potential for Investment Activities” included, for example, Jan Dejl of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Marcel Kraus of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, and Zdeňka Kujová of the South Moravian Innovation Centre. Representatives of key institutions discussed support for the creative industry and its impact on investments, the development of investors’ requirements and the creative industry’s impacts on the knowledge economy and technology firms. The event also featured a presentation of the Creative Brno project and a tour of the former jail complex where the project is to be implemented. This was the first meeting involving this topic; the future continuation of the event is being planned in the form of a panel discussion that will be open to the public.
