Czech market offers complete portfolio of manufacturing machines, turbines, transportation and air-conditioning equipment as well as agricultural and machine tools. Most of the production is exported, mainly to markets within the European Union, making it one of the most competitive segments of the Czech economy and opening new opportunities overseas.
“This year, we are focusing on potential investors that could increase the productivity of the engineering industry in the Czech Republic, it means we are targeting companies with potential higher added value. Engineering sector in the Czech Republic greatly benefits from a long tradition, but it is necessary to further innovate and attract pathfinder investors who could expand their know-how at our place, and thereby improve the production rate of our economy. We put emphasis on companies that are leaders in the process automation, robotics and know how to connect IT with operational processes,” ads Milan Kilík, Business Development manager for High-Tech Mechanical Engineering at CzechInvest.
The sector accounts for more than 10% of revenues from sales of products and services of the manufacturing industry and employs 12.5% of the country´s workforce.
