The 2nd Call for proposals of Infrastructure Services Programme was announced on 31 May 2016. Applications are submitted via the IS KP14+ internet application. Applications are received from 15 June 2016 until 30 September 2016.

Who can apply (aid recipients)

  • Legal entity that will be the owner/operator of the innovation infrastructure (science and technology park, innovation centre, or business incubator), that will keep analytical accounting records necessary for audits and checks in relation to the project eligible costs in accordance with the programme conditions, and whose articles explicitly state that this legal entity has been founded to support the intensity, quality and speed of innovation dissemination and technology transfer to the economic life of a given region, stressing progressive (high-tech) technologies,
  • Municipality,
  • College, university.

How much can be obtained for each project (form and amount of aid)

  • Projects will be supported with:
  1. CZK 1 - 30 million per project for projects not including building works
  2. CZK 5 - 300 million per project for projects including building works
  • Aid intensity:
  1. 50% of demonstrated eligible costs
  2. 75% of demonstrated eligible costs in accordance with the Framework outside the state aid regimen for beneficiaries complying with paragraphs 19 and 20 Communication from the Commission Framework for State aid for research and development and innovation (2014/C 198/01)

For what aid can be obtained(supported activities)

  • Activity b) Operating an innovation infrastructure - only under the de minimis regimen.
  • Activity c) Extending the innovation infrastructure facilities, purchasing new equipment, and improving capacities for the joint use of technologies.
  • Activity d) Building a new, shared innovation infrastructure in a region with a demonstrated lack of suitable research or innovation infrastructure for businesses.

Which costs can be supported(eligible costs)

  • Purchase costs of long-term tangible assets, e.g. purchases of land, buildings, machinery and other devices necessary to equip the innovation infrastructure providing that the assets can be depreciated (except for the land). 
  • Purchase costs of long-term intangible assets (purchases of patents, licences and know-how up to the price assessed by an expert, the expert's assessment may not be older than 3 months as of the date of purchase; software, etc.).
  • Purchase costs of long-term intangible assets up to 50% of the project total eligible costs.
  • Operating costs, in particular the costs of advisors' services, studies, training, seminars, workshops, promotion, network supplies that cannot be stored, etc. The costs of mandatory project publicity are eligible only in case the signs of mandatory publicity as stipulated in the rules set up by the aid provider are fulfilled.
