The Chinese company, CSR Sifang Qingdao, produced the first prototype of the low-floor tram, ForCity, designed by Pilsen-based Škoda Transportation. Škoda Transportation informed about this saying that it signed with the Chinese company a ten-year contract to grant the license to the technology in June 2013. Škoda Transportation added that the prototype tram, ForCity, passed all the necessary tests in China and is now ready for presentation to potential clients.
