Five Czech start-ups present their ideas in London
31 Oct. 2016 | CzechInvest | The second annual Central European ICT StartUps event attracted 80 visitors
The second annual conference of technology start-ups from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and, newly this year, Austria was held in London on Wednesday, 26 October 2016. Each country selected its five most appropriate start-ups to participate in the event. These innovative young firms got a chance to present themselves to investors and to obtain from them capital and opportunities for global expansion. In connection with the ICT Alliance, the companies Geneea, Locaidme, MyStay, ThreatMark and Yottly were selected to represent the Czech Republic.
Christian Lane, founder of the British company Smarter, which specialises in the development of smart household appliances, attended the event to speak to the participants about his start in business. The conference was a unique opportunity for the Czech technology firms to compare their ideas with others in international competition and to make contact with foreign investors and entrepreneurs in various sectors.
The implementation partners of the event were PwC and the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association. CzechInvest was one of the organisers of the conference together with the Embassies of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Austria.
