Ferrari to use lightweight glass from Hořovice for 499 vehicles
20 Aug. 2013 | ČIANEWS | Automaker Ferrari will use windshield glass produced at Saint-Gobain Sekurit in Hořovice for its 499 series vehicles to reduce their weight.
The use of the new lightweight technology which makes it possible to reduce the thickness of the glass to 4mm will reduce the weight of the glass by 12 % compared to processes used at the moment. The lightweight glass technology will be used in four additional models of newly launched vehicles this year.
