“Reform to Perform” at the European Business Summit in Brussels
[15 – 16 Mar. 2007 | Brussels, Belgium] The fifth annual European Business Summit (EBS) will be held in Brussels on March 15-16, 2007. Every year, the EBS brings together leading European politicians, top managers and a range of distinguished experts from various fields. With the theme “Reform to Perform: Europe is our Business”, this year’s summit will focus on necessary economic reforms in Europe. CzechInvest is one of supporting partners of the EBS.
The summit will focus on the accomplishments of Europe with regard to four freedoms of movement – goods, services, capital and people. In the course of 12 workshops, top managers of multinational corporations will exchange their views with the EU’s political elite, represented at the conference by, for example, José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, Günter Verheugen, Vice-President of the European Commission and Janez Potocnik, commissioner for science and research, who will take part in the section dedicated to European technological platforms.
The meeting will take place prior to thecelebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Treaty of Rome that laid the cornerstone of the European Community.Over 2,500 participants from 50 countries are expected to attend. More information is available at www.ebsummit.org.
