Eighth-graders from Třemošnice tour DAKO-CZ, a.s.

A thirty-member delegation of eighth-graders from Třemošnice Elementary School visited the company DAKO-CZ, a.s. on Friday, 29 May 2015. By hosting the students, the manufacturer of brake systems for rail vehicles became involved in Investment Week and the Year of Industry and Technical Education project.
“Rail vehicles with DAKO brakes can be found on tracks throughout Europe as well as in Algeria, Malaysia, Indonesia and China. Skilled employees are behind the success of our brakes. Therefore, we fully support the development of technical education of children and youths,” said the company’s general manager, Daniel Merta, who personally welcomed the children to the factory.
DAKO-CZ, a.s., a member of EXCALIBUR GROUP, is a provider of brake systems and components for freight and passenger vehicles, commuter trains, locomotives, metro cars and trams. The company has its own development operation, as well as a modern testing laboratory and design facility. Based in Třemošnice in east Bohemia, the company has annual turnover of EUR 30 million (CZK 840 million), of which foreign orders account for 75%.
