EATON expanding its new innovation centre in Roztoky u Prahy; 115 new jobs to be created

23 Jul. 2013 | CzechInvest | EATON, an industrial producer which CzechInvest helped to bring to the Czech Republic, has begun construction of an additional innovation-centre building, thus responding to the rapid growth of the European innovation centre that the company opened in 2012.

Innovative Centre – Roztoky

The celebratory start of construction on 22 July 2013 was attended by the mayor of Roztoky u Prahy and representatives of CzechInvest and the Czech Technical University. EATON has long been cooperating with the academic sphere at the existing European innovation centre on development of new technologies for its customers in the fields of electrical engineering, hydraulics, aviation and the automotive industry. The objective is technologically effective, efficient, sustainable and safe power-supply solutions. The new building will be completed by the end of 2014; employees will be transferred to it at the beginning of 2015. According to the current plans, Eaton intends to increase the innovation centre’s staff from the current 25 to as many as 140 employees by the end of 2016.
