CzechInvest meets with representatives of embassies and chambers of commerce

17 Feb. 2011 | CzechInvest | Seminar focused on cooperation and information exchange.

Participants of the seminar

CzechInvest recently held a seminar for representatives of selected embassies and chambers of commerce in order to discuss opportunities for foreign investors and the services that CzechInvest can provide to them. Following the introductory presentations, the seminar participants had the opportunity to receive the latest information directly from CzechInvest’s specialists during one-one-one meetings. The seminar, which was the third in a series of such events, took place at CzechInvest’s offices on 16 February 2011 and was attended by several dozen officials from twelve embassies and foreign chambers of commerce.

“Embassies and chambers of commerce are, above all, important communication channels for CzechInvest through which we maintain contact with existing foreign investors. They are also a valuable resource for companies that are considering coming to the Czech Republic. Exchanging information contributes both to enhancing foreign investors’ awareness of business opportunities in the Czech Republic as well as improvement of our services,” explains Miroslav Křížek, CEO of CzechInvest.

The seminar, at which there was not a single empty seat, featured experts in various areas including the automotive industry, aviation and aerospace, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics, life sciences, IT and software development, shared services, nanotechnology, renewable and alternative energy sources, and European Union structural funds, among others. Personal meetings focused on the means of specific types of cooperation, joint seminars for existing and potential investors and presentations of the Czech Republic abroad. The representatives of embassies and chambers of commerce expressed the greatest interest in meeting with CzechInvest’s aerospace specialist.

“Personal meetings are very beneficial for both parties, as they enable resolution of specific problems and issues for which there is not space in general meetings or which are simply too specific. This seminar format has been very successful among the participants. We are therefore preparing to realise similar events in the future,” adds Miroslav Křížek.
