CzechInvest maintains services-quality standard set by the international ISO norm
15 Feb. 2006 | CzechInvest | A January audit of CzechInvest performed by the certification company Det Norske Veritas confirmed the high quality of the Agency’s internal processes and services. CzechInvest thus retained the internationally recognized ISO 9001:2000 certificate of quality.
With regard to the ever increasing demands on the quality of services, CzechInvest decided several years ago to establish a quality-assurance system according to the ISO 9001:2000 international standards. “In December 2004, we received the validation certificate from the company Det Norske Veritas, which covers all services provided by CzechInvest in the Czech Republic and abroad in the area of supporting the inflow of foreign investment, development of domestic enterprises, and the establishment of new companies, as well as development of the business environment,” explains Karolina Bockova, Chief Operating Officer of CzechInvest, adding: “Since then, we have worked to improve and develop the system in order to retain the certificate.”
Fulfillment of the obligations arising from ISO 9001:2000 is checked regularly. This time the auditors focused particularly on CzechInvest’s approach to clients, the effectiveness of the Agency’s new organizational structure and external communication with interested parties.
“Obtaining the ISO certificate is a prestigious and, in fact, necessary matter for entrepreneurs, consultancy firms and institutions. For example, foreign companies that we assist in selecting suitable subcontractors from among Czech firms are very interested in the quality-control of their potential business partners, and certification is considered a necessary condition for cooperation,” saysKarolina Bockova.
