Czech Republic ranked fifteenth among most attractive European countries
28 Jul. 2014 | CzechInvest | Foreign direct investment reached record levels in Europe last year, when investors announced 3,955 investment projects.
Of these, the Czech Republic attracted sixty, which will result in the creation of more than 5,600 jobs. Furthermore, the country ranks third among European countries in terms of attractiveness for investors in the automotive industry.
Last year CzechInvest mediation investment projects in the total value of CZK 28 billion, a twofold increase over the figure for 2012. The largest number of foreign investors were from Germany, followed by the United States and Japan.
Europe (excluding Russia) became the second-biggest recipient of foreign direct investments last year. According to a recent survey carried out by Ernst & Young, 54% of respondents currently have an optimistic view of the continent’s future, whereas last year only 39% believed that Europe’s attractiveness for investors was increasing.
