Czech is Nano in Brussels

On behalf of CZELO (Czech Liaison Office for Research, Development and Innovation), CzechInvest (the Investment and Business Development Agency of the Czech Republic) and under the auspices of the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the European Union, we would like to invite you to the workshop “Czech is Nano”.

Main aim of this event is to provide an overview of the nanotechnology sector in the Czech Republic with several case studies of successful companies with high international profile (Contipro, IQ Structures, Pardam) and to offer a networking platform to establish closer contacts between various parts of the nanotechnology field in the European Union. Apart from the introduction, the topics will cover the areas of nanomedicine, 3D nanoprinting, and nanostructures for energy storage or security measures.

10:20 – 10:40      Developments in Nanotechnologies (Christos Tokamanis, Head of Unit Nanotechnologies and Advanced Materials, DG Research and Innovation)

10:40 – 11:00      Czech is Nano – Overview (Jiří Kůs, President of Czech Nanotechnology Industries Association)

11:00 – 11:15      Nanostructures & Nanoarchitecture (Tomáš Těthal, CEO, IQ Structures)

11:15 – 11:30      Nanomedicine (Daniel Maťátko, Business Development, Contipro)

11:30 – 11:45      Nanofibers & Energy Storage (Jan Buk, Production Director, Pardam)

11:45 – 12:00      R&D Infrastructure and Successful FP7 and H2020 Projects (Petr Pracna, NCP for NMBP, Technology Centre ASCR)

12:00 – 13:00      Networking & Light Lunch
