CVC Capital Partners Invests to the Czech Company Avast
13 Feb. 2014 | ČIANEWS | CVC Capital Partners has signed a binding agreement on its investment into the firm Avast Software.
The investment, valued by Avast at USD 1 bln, will help the company expand its presence in the US and facilitate further expansion in the mobile security sector. Avast´s software is running on over 200 mln devices and protects almost 170 mln computers. Global investment fund Summit Partners, which invested into the company in 2010, remains one of its shareholders, along with founders Eduard Kučera and Pavel Baudiš.
