ČSÚ: Confidence into economy up in August

According to the Czech Statistical Office’s (ČSÚ) data, the aggregate confidence indicator grew 1.4 pts on July. The confidence in industry remained unchanged, while construction industry reported a drop and services an increase in confidence. In the year-on-year comparison, the aggregate indicator and the confidence in industry grew, while the confidence in construction industry, trade and services dropped. The consumer confidence indicator in August 2013 was higher than a month ago as well as a year ago.
