Cooper Standard opens new factory in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem

On Thursday, 14 September 2017, representatives of the Czech government, the region and CzechInvest ceremoniously opened the new factory of the American company Cooper Standard in the Bystřice industrial zone. The 9,000 m2 facility will manufacture brake and fuel lines for leading global carmakers.

The entry of this major investor, which was arranged with CzechInvest’s assistance, is important for the Bystřice region, as it has helped to reduce the local unemployment rate to a minimum following the decline of uranium mining in nearby Dolní Rožínka. The firm has already hired 150 employees, the first fifty of whom are preparing production, while the remaining hundred are being trained at the company’s headquarters in Žďár. Up to 450 more jobs will be offered in connection with the construction of an already planned additional production facility.

More information is available in the press release issued by the company.
