Construction of High-Speed Train Routes to Start in 2020

Daily Právo writes that the building of highspeed train routes in the Czech Republic is scheduled to start in 2020. The Fast Connections project foresees the building of 1,225km of new routes where trains will be able to travel at the speed of 160-325km/h. The building costs are estimated at CZK 600bn. If the sections are included into trans-European transport corridors, the EU will reimburse up to 75% of the total sum.
