Chinese companies are interested in cooperation on production of light aircraft

The first Czech-Chinese Forum was held on Tuesday, 4 October 2016, in connection with the International Engineering Fair in Brno. The forum confirmed Chinese companies’ interest in cooperation with their Czech counterparts in numerous fields, e.g. in design and manufacturing of light aircraft, air traffic control systems and aircraft components.
The forum was co-organised by the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic and was attended by the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Ma Keqing, Deputy Ministry of Industry and Trade Jiří Havlíček, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Miloslav Stašek, the general manager of EGAP, Karla Bureš, and CzechInvest CEO Karel Kučera, who presented Chinese investments that CzechInvest brought to the Czech Republic. China is this year’s official partner country of the International Engineering Fair in Brno, where it is exhibiting in an expansive pavilion.
