On Wednesday, 24 September 2014, the Regiocentrum Nový pivovar in Hradec Králové came alive with lectures held in connection with British Days, an educational and social event with the purpose of presenting the British business environment as an outstanding place for the expansion of Czech companies. The event was organised by the British Chamber of Commerce with support from CzechInvest, the city of Hradec Králové, the Hradec Králové region, the University of Hradec Králové, and the Hradec Králové and Pardubice Regional Chambers of Commerce. Participants had the opportunity to gain information on how to assert themselves in the face of competition, receive practical tips from successful companies, penetrate the foreign market and learn about the legal and cultural specifics of conducting business with British firms. The directors of CzechInvest’s Hradec Králové and Pardubice regional offices, Michal Tureček and Marie Černošová respectively, familiarised the attendees with current aid possibilities, as well as with the agency’s products and services aimed at development of the investment and business environment.
