  • MANN+HUMMEL opens technology centre in Brno

    MANN+HUMMEL has opened a new development and design office in the Technology Park in Brno. Intended for the development of automotive filtration technology, the centre is the company’s first such facility in Central and Eastern Europe.

  • Czech House in Brussels starts operations

    The newly opened Czech House in Brussels will facilitate communication between investors and Czech institutions. The seven-storey building will serve as a contact point where those interested in national, regional and foreign policy, the business environment, culture and trade in the Czech Republic can obtain information.

  • Investment worth nearly CZK 5 billion launched in Žatec today

    Production officially commenced today at the two factories of the Japanese companies IPS Alpha Technology Europe, s.r.o. and Hitachi Home Electronics Czech, s.r.o. in the Triangle industrial zone v Žatec. Both companies plan to invest over CZK 4.6 billion and employ 4,100 people in the Czech Republic by 2013. IPS Alpha will produce flat-screen LCD displays, while Hitachi will manufacture LCD and plasma televisions.

  • Invensys APV to employ dozens of university-educated technicians in Brno

    Designing a complete brewery or dairy, for example, will be the work of more than 100 specialists whom Invensys APV will employ in the South Moravia region. The company today opened its new development centre in Brno, which will employ 120 specialists, mostly with university degrees in technical fields.
