    International provider of network infrastructure products and services, ADC KRONE, is expanding to Brno’s Cernovicka Terasa. The company’s management has already signed a contract with Dutch developer CTP Invest to lease a production hall on the complex of the industrial zone there.

  • Bang & Olufsen is investing 16,5 million euros in new factory in the Czech Republic

    Bang & Olufsen, the manufacturer of high-end audio-visual technology, has its only foreign production facility in Koprivnice in the North Moravia. The company is investing a total of 16,5 million euros in construction of a new factory and will employ up to 200 people.

    The amendment of the Income Tax Act, which came into force on 1 January 2006, has brought numerous positive changes influencing tax obligations in the Czech Republic. In addtion to the most significant employment-related modifications – lower tax burden for natural persons and simplified tax administration – the amendment also introduces undeniable benefits for investors. Support of the mobility of the labour force in the form of tax-deductible expenses related to both the transport of employees to the workplace and temporary housing, the commom system for taxation of parent companies and subsidiaries, and the tax ememption of income from dividends are only some of the changes strengthening the attractiveness of the Czech Republic’s business environment, especially for foreign companies.

    A January audit of CzechInvest performed by the certification company Det Norske Veritas confirmed the high quality of the Agency’s internal processes and services. CzechInvest thus retained the internationally recognized ISO 9001:2000 certificate of quality.

  • Spanish company Lana Construction to build plant worth 14 million dollars in Vysocina

    Spanish company Lana, a renowned manufacturer of three-ply wooden panels for the construction industry, has decided to build its new production facility in the Czech Republic in Zdirec nad Doubravou (Vysocina Region). The firm is investing 14 million dollars (350 million crowns) into its construction, which will be launched in the spring. The new plant will offer jobs to at least 50 people.

  • German company Playmobil invests in the Karlovy Vary region

    Playmobil CZ, a subsidiary of the German company Horst Brandstätter Holding GmbH, will build a plant in the city of Cheb for the production of plastic toys. Over the next three years the company will invest almost 7.5 million euro and will employ about 65 people.
